Mr. Bob Patterson is entering his 17th year at Montessori Children’s School (MCS) and serves as the Lead Outdoor Education Guide. Since joining MCS, he has played an integral role in helping students develop a deeper appreciation for nature, environmental stewardship, and hands-on learning through meaningful outdoor experiences.
Mr. Patterson holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and a Master of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. His unique educational background, combined with his passion for the natural world, allows him to create engaging learning opportunities that encourage exploration, curiosity, and personal growth beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Throughout his years at MCS, Mr. Patterson has guided countless students in developing confidence, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong connection to the outdoors. His enthusiasm for experiential learning and his commitment to fostering respect for the environment have made Outdoor Education a beloved part of the MCS experience.
Mr. Patterson’s connection to the school is both professional and personal, as his daughters also attended Montessori Children’s School. Outside of school, he enjoys kayaking, hiking, coaching basketball, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
