Month of the Military Child

April 1st-30th, 2024

April is the official Month of the Military Child! It's a time to honor and recognize the children of our armed forces community.

The Montessori Children's School is proud to have 57 students enrolled who are serving alongside their family as dependent military children. Help us celebrate MOMC by sponsoring one of our students who is a military child. Sponsorships are $100 and will provide both the student and sponsor with name recognition on a sign in front of the school for the entire month of April. 15% of all proceeds will be donated to Military Child Education Coalition (militarychild.org) and the remaining funds will go toward field trips and increased security at the school.

As a sponsor, your business name/logo will be displayed on the sign alongside the names of our MCS military child students in recognition of your support in our community. You will also be acknowledged on social media and in the MCS newsletter!

Zing Zumm Children's Museum STEAMwork Summer Camps at MCS

3 Weeks Available - Summer 2024

Week 1: July 8-12th, 2024 9am – 4pm

Our Summer Time Fun STEAMwork Summer Camps offer the fun of daily STEAM challenges, take-home art components, explorable STEAM stations, outdoor free play, and outdoor group team play. Join us for daily sensory play and gain valuable insights from our engaging guest speakers. Cap off each week with a popsicle party and connect with us through daily conversations about the camp activities. Spring Break

March 25th-29th, 2024

Montessori Children's School will be closed for Spring Break from March 25th to March 29th, giving students and staff a well-deserved break. The school will reopen its doors on April 1st, ready to continue fostering curiosity and growth in its young learners.

Teacher Work Day

April 1st, 2024 - No School for Students

Montessori Children's School will be closed for students on April 1st for a teacher work day, allowing educators dedicated time for planning and professional development. Students can look forward to returning to a refreshed and enriched learning environment the following day, April 2nd.

Community Work Day

April 6th, 2024 9am-1pm EST

This is a great opportunity to get some or all of your family's volunteer hours for the current school year!

Please bring a water bottle (full), gloves for working, your kids/coworkers/friends/family, and any yard tools that may be helpful (think shovels, wheelbarrows, rakes, etc.). We appreciate our volunteers, and we appreciate YOU helping take care of our beautiful campus!

Pizza and Community Colors Day

April 19th, 2024

Montessori Children's School will be celebrating our monthly Pizza & Community Colors Day on April 19th, inviting students to wear any color (no characters) on Friday. Parents have the option to purchase pizza for their children at $5 for two slices. It's a colorful and tasty way to foster community spirit and enjoyment among students and families alike.

Earth Week

April 22nd-26th, 2024

Montessori Children's School will be celebrating Earth Week from April 22nd to April 26th. Students will be tie-dying t-shirts, which will be worn at our Earth Day celebration. This initiative not only promotes environmental awareness but also fosters a sense of unity and school pride among students as they participate in activities dedicated to caring for our planet.

International Night

May 3rd, 2024 5:30-7:30pm EST

Montessori Children's School will celebrate International Night on May 3rd from 5:30pm-7:30pm, where students are encouraged to dress in traditional attire and parade flags representing diverse countries. The event will honor the rich tapestry of world cultures through culinary delights, fostering appreciation and understanding of different cultures around the world within the school community.

Spirit Week

June 3rd-7th, 2024

Montessori Children's School will be celebrating Spirit Week from June 3rd to 7th, featuring exciting dress-up days. This week-long event fosters school spirit and camaraderie among students, providing memorable experiences and opportunities for creative expression.

Last Day of School Celebrations

June 7th, 2024 1:45pm-5:30pm EST

Montessori Children's School will bid farewell to the academic year on Friday, June 7, 2024 with a Bridge Ceremony at 1:45pm EST on campus, marking the transition for students who are moving to the next level. Following this, an End of Year Picnic from 3:30pm to 5:30pm EST off-campus will provide a joyful opportunity for students, families, and staff to celebrate achievements and create lasting memories together.

End of Year Teacher Workdays

June 10th-14th, 2024

Montessori Children's School will remain open for End of Year Teacher Workdays from June 10th to 14th, allowing educators dedicated time for reflection, planning, and preparation for the upcoming academic year. These days provide valuable opportunities for professional development and collaboration, ensuring continued excellence in teaching and learning at the school.
