Ms. Alice Hampton is entering her 27th year at Montessori Children’s School (MCS) and serves as the Lead Directress in our Toddler Program. Known throughout the MCS community as the “Toddler Whisperer,” she has spent more than two decades nurturing and guiding some of our youngest learners through one of the most important stages of development.
Ms. Hampton holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Montessori Infant/Toddler Credential from the Center for Montessori Teacher Education/North Carolina (CMTE/NC). Throughout her time at MCS, she has served as the Lead Teacher in both one-year-old and two-year-old classrooms, bringing her extensive experience, patience, and deep understanding of child development to every role.
In addition to her work with children, Ms. Hampton serves as a mentor to fellow educators and assists the Head of School with onboarding and supporting new staff members. Her dedication to Montessori education, commitment to excellence, and willingness to share her knowledge have made her an invaluable leader within the MCS community.
Ms. Hampton believes in fostering independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging in every child. Her calm presence, nurturing approach, and ability to connect with young children have touched the lives of countless families over the years.
Outside of school, Ms. Hampton enjoys singing, playing volleyball, and playing ping pong. Her decades of service and unwavering dedication to Montessori education continue to leave a lasting impact on the children, families, and staff of Montessori Children’s School.
