Ms. Amanda Cruz is entering her fifth year at Montessori Children’s School (MCS). A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration through Louisiana State University.
Amanda brings more than a decade of experience in accounting and human resources, providing valuable operational and administrative support to the MCS community. In 2018, she relocated to Japan, where she discovered a passion for working with children. During her time overseas, she worked as a Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten teacher before serving in the Special Education Department at a middle school on a U.S. military installation.
As both a staff member and parent, Amanda has a unique appreciation for the Montessori experience. Her daughter began her Montessori journey in the Primary program and is now a Lower Elementary student at MCS. Amanda values the strong partnerships between school and family and enjoys supporting the mission of Montessori education.
Outside of school, Amanda enjoys spending time with her daughter, family, and friends, and creating meaningful memories with those she loves.
