Ms. Amy Spade is joining Montessori Children’s School (MCS) for the 2026–2027 school year as the Adolescent Classroom Assistant. She brings nearly a decade of experience as a teacher’s aide and classroom assistant, with a strong background supporting middle school students in special education settings. Amy is passionate about helping adolescents develop confidence, independence, and the skills needed to become lifelong learners.
Originally from Upstate New York, Amy earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the State University of New York at Geneseo. Her educational background, combined with her classroom experience, has fostered a love of literacy and a talent for supporting students’ communication, reading, and critical thinking skills. She believes in meeting each student where they are and providing the guidance and encouragement needed for them to thrive.
As a new member of the MCS community, Amy is excited to support students as they engage in meaningful, inquiry-based learning and continue their journey toward independence, responsibility, and self-discovery.
Outside of school, Amy enjoys reading, drawing, and working on puzzles. She also loves spending time outdoors and can often be found soaking up the sunshine whenever she has the chance.
