Ms. Justina Lewis is entering her fifth year at Montessori Children’s School (MCS) and serves as the Lead Directress of Lower Elementary North. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, with an emphasis in painting, from Sonoma State University.
Ms. Justina first discovered Montessori education while preparing to welcome her son, Ashur, and quickly fell in love with the philosophy’s respect for the child and emphasis on independence, curiosity, and joyful learning. Both she and Ashur have become cherished members of the MCS community, making Montessori not only her profession but also an important part of her family’s life.
In 2025, Ms. Justina earned her Lower Elementary credential through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS). She is passionate about creating a classroom environment where children feel empowered to explore, take ownership of their learning, and develop confidence in their abilities. Her calm presence, creativity, and dedication to fostering meaningful learning experiences have made her a valued member of the MCS community.
This summer, Ms. Justina is excited to welcome her second child and begin a new chapter with her growing family. She looks forward to sharing her joy for learning and discovery with both her children at home and her students at MCS.
Outside of school, Ms. Justina enjoys spending time with her family, exploring creative pursuits, and continuing to grow as both a Montessori educator and lifelong learner.
