Ms. Mara began her journey at Montessori Children’s School in 2022 as a Lower Elementary parent and quickly came to love the Montessori philosophy and the MCS community. She is now an Upper Elementary parent as well as the Front Desk Administrator.
Ms. Mara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Medical Geography from the University of Washington. She also spent 5 years in the Navy where she managed fitness and mental health programs for fellow sailors in Washington and California.
Outside of her work at MCS, Mara runs a traditional Okinawan martial arts dojo with her partner and enjoys training, as well as backpacking through nature, reading, traveling, playing board games, and spending time with her family.
