Ms. Smith became a valued member of the Montessori Children’s School (MCS) in 2000, initially joining as after-school staff. By the fall of that year, she transitioned to the role of Toddler Assistant.

Her dedication to Montessori education led her to pursue Montessori Certification for Primary, receiving her training at the Center for Montessori Teacher Education in North Carolina. She now serves as the Lead Directress in Primary South, where she is passionate about creating a loving and structured learning environment. Ms. Smith believes that a Montessori classroom offers the ideal setting for children to thrive and aims to guide her students toward becoming lifelong learners.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Smith enjoys practicing gentle yoga, engaging in breathing exercises, journaling, and caring for her plants. She also cherishes traveling to visit family and loved ones.
