Ms. Shiaquieta Carlton is entering her fourth year at Montessori Children’s School (MCS), where she serves as a Classroom Floater and Aftercare Coordinator. A proud United States Air Force veteran with a background in meteorology, Shiaquieta brings strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to her work with children and families.
In addition to her military service, Shiaquieta has taught Sunday School for several years and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. She is passionate about helping children discover their strengths, build confidence, and develop a positive sense of self. Guided by Dr. Maria Montessori’s belief that “Of all things, love is the most potent,” she strives to create a warm, supportive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of success.
Shiaquieta believes that meaningful relationships are at the heart of education and finds great joy in encouraging children as they learn, grow, and explore the world around them.
Outside of school, Shiaquieta enjoys spending time with her two daughters, two dogs, and cat. Her many hobbies include crafting, DIY projects, crocheting, reading, coding, and listening to true crime podcasts.
