Mrs. Tami Beckes is entering her fifth year at Montessori Children’s School (MCS) and will be serving as the new Lead Directress in Primary South. She holds a certification in Early Childhood Education and brings a diverse background of experience working with young children in a variety of educational settings, including as a Kindergarten Aide, Preschool and Infant Classroom Assistant, Girl Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and Art Teacher for students in Pre-K through 6th grade.
Since joining MCS, Mrs. Beckes has completed Montessori Teacher Assistant Training and is currently pursuing her Early Childhood (Ages 3–6) Montessori credential through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies, which she will complete in Fall 2026. She spent three years supporting children in the Primary program and most recently served as Co-Lead in Primary East. Her commitment to Montessori education and dedication to the children of MCS have made her a valued member of the school community. Mrs. Beckes is passionate about fostering independence, curiosity, and a love of learning while creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Originally from Wisconsin, Mrs. Beckes is a proud military spouse and mother of two daughters. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, kayaking, visiting the beach, traveling, and making memories with her family.
